In-person workshop at When Nature Calls, our approach

Interested in understanding the science behind the headlines? Join us for an evidence-based workshop examining current research on psilocybin, psilocybin truffles, and the neurobiology of psychedelic compounds. We’ll explore what peer-reviewed research actually shows about brain and body effects, how these compounds influence mood, psychology, and inner experience, distinguish evidence-based findings from emerging claims, and discuss the current scientific landscape of microdosing studies.

This session is designed as educational and informational only. Open to anyone curious about psychedelics and the mechanisms behind them, regardless of background or prior knowledge.

A note on this space: We’re here to explore psychedelics, its mechanism behind and the science on it together and answer your questions about what science tells us. This isn’t a medical advice. If you’re considering psilocybin for any reason, we encourage you to speak with a healthcare provider who can give you personalized guidance.

If you’re considering psilocybin for any reason, we encourage you to speak with a healthcare provider who can give you personalized guidance.

What you'll take away:

  • The basics > what sclerotia (truffles) are, their legal status in the Netherlands, and what to expect from onset to duration
  • An accessible look at the neuroscience: how psilocybin interacts with the brain, and why that's connected to effects like reduced anxiety, creativity, and emotional openness
  • The "set and setting" framework > how mindset and environment shape your experience, and realistic expectations for what microdosing can (and can't) do
  • A practical overview of popular microdosing protocols, and how to find one that fits your lifestyle
  • Hands-on guidance on dosage, consumption methods, and finding your own sweet spot
  • A short introduction to Sacred Connection >who we are, our clinical foundation, and our retreat and coaching programmes, for anyone who wants to go deeper
  • Open Q&A, with time to chat informally afterward

Sacred Connection's team, including our clinical lead — brings a science-first, non-prescriptive approach: no pressure, no promises, just clear information so you can make your own informed choices. You'll leave with a take-home handout to keep exploring at your own pace.

The Sacred Connection team

We are a co-founding team working collaboratively, each bringing distinct forms of experience, sensitivity, and presence. All retreats are held by trained facilitators who share responsibility for safety, clarity, and care throughout the entire process.

Our work is grounded in preparation, relational awareness, and thoughtful integration. While each facilitator has their own way of working, we hold the retreat space together — supporting one another and the participants as a team.

As a multilingual and internationally oriented team, we are able to offer our programs in Dutch, English, and Turkish. We are attentive to cultural context and aim to create an environment in which participants from diverse backgrounds can feel psychologically safe and understood.

Our facilitation training is informed by internationally recognized programs, including the Experiential Training Institute (ETI).
