The concept
Self-optimisation encompasses all efforts that lead us to experience a greater sense of presence, flow, connection, vitality, and joy.
The traditional approach of the wellness industry often labels individuals as 'broken' or 'needing to be fixed', which can be disempowering. Therefore, our mission centres on optimisation. Rather than focusing on 'fixing' or 'curing', we believe in learning to optimise how our physical, mental, and emotional systems can work together even better.
How to find us
We are located on Prinsengracht 581, 1016 HT, Amsterdam.
Please note that we also have a separate retail-only location at Keizersgracht 508. Make sure to double-check directions on Google Maps before visiting to ensure you arrive at the correct location.
Our opening hours depend on the day and our class schedule.

We are always open between 09:00 and 18:00, unless otherwise announced.
Outside of these hours, the space may still be open if we have classes scheduled. We recommend checking our class schedule to confirm times before your visit.
Currently we are only here in Amsterdam.
However, for the years to come we envision opening more centers in other cool European cities. Stay on our newsletter and socials to be kept in the loop!
Experiences
No membership is required. You can book individual classes and workshops directly through our website. We are also available on ClassPass and Urban Sports Club.

Absolutely. You’re welcome to stop by for our retail store and coffee bar, where we serve adaptogenic drinks like ceremonial cacao and matcha.
If you'd like to join a class without booking in advance, you can ask our team if a drop-in spot is available. However, spots are not guaranteed, and we recommend arriving at least 15 minutes early so we can make the necessary arrangements.

We offer a variety of classes, including Pilates, yoga, cacao rituals, sound journeys, breathwork, and more. There’s something for everyone, whether you're seeking movement, relaxation, or deeper exploration.

Yes, our center is designed to be accessible to individuals with disabilities. We are wheelchair accessible and have an everyone-friendly bathroom. If you have specific accessibility needs or require special assistance, please inform us in advance so our friendly team can make arrangements if needed to make your experience as comfortable as possible
We don’t have showers on site, but we do have three bathrooms that can be used as private changing spaces.
Cancellation policies vary depending on how you booked:

Direct bookings via our website: You can cancel up to 12 hours before class to keep your credit.

Within 12 hours: This will be considered a late cancellation, and your credit will be forfeited.

Third-party bookings (e.g., ClassPass, Urban Sports Club): Their cancellation policies apply.
You can book directly through our class schedule. You’ll just need to create a Mindbody account to proceed.

If it’s your first visit, we recommend arriving 15 minutes early to settle in. Please note that we cannot allow late entry once the class has started, as it disrupts the experience.
Memberships
You can purchase a membership online here or directly in-store. We are currently unable to process memberships via phone or email.
We offer a range of memberships to suit different lifestyles and levels of commitment. Our tiers - Essence Unfolding, Summit Rising, and Omni Explorer - are designed to give you the flexibility to choose what works best for you. You can view what each membership offers here.

All memberships include access to a variety of classes and priority booking and exclusive promotions for events and products.
Pricing depends on the plan you choose. All fees are billed monthly and are non-refundable (unless stated otherwise).

If you’re on an auto-renewing membership, you can cancel at any time before your next billing date.
You have two options:
1. Cancel online via the client portal
Here’s how:

Search and select When Nature Calls

Click “Looking to book a service?” and log in

Click on the "My Info" tab

Navigate to “Account” in the upper right

Scroll down to “Auto Pays”

Find your contract and click “Terminate” next to it
2. Cancel through our team
Email us at booking@whennaturecalls.nl with at least 7 days’ notice, or cancel in-store / by calling 020 303 1089.

1-month and 6-month plans automatically expire at the end of their term no cancellation required
Yes you can freeze your membership for up to 3 months per year (for medical reasons or extended travel). Submit your request in writing. We review additional freeze requests on a case-by-case basis.
Via the app! Just make sure to cancel at least 12 hours before the class.

Late cancel (under 12 hours): counts as a used session.

No-show: also counts as used.
If you’re on an Omni Explorer membership, you get 3 no-shows or late cancellations per month. After that, a €10 fee applies per incident.
No, unused classes do not roll over to the next month. We recommend booking ahead to make the most of your membership.
If your membership includes guest passes, here’s how to use them:

Make sure your guest has a registered account with us before attending.

Always contact us in advance to check availability, either by calling 020 303 1089 or visiting us in-store.

Our team will manually register your guest to reserve their spot.

We cannot accommodate unregistered guests, you're always welcome to try, but we cannot guarantee space unless it's confirmed in advance.
