Kanna is a psychoactive (not psychedelic) succulent that grows in regions near Cape Town, South Africa. For generations, Indigenous tribes have used Kanna for its medicinal, social, and ceremonial properties.
Kanna is often described as a natural empathogen and mood-enhancing plant. Many people experience it as gently increasing emotional openness and sensitivity, making it easier to notice subtle shifts in mood, insight, and connection. From a psychological perspective, it interacts with the serotonin system, which may support feelings of relaxation, euphoria, emotional clarity, and present-moment awareness.
During the session, we will be taking an (optional) tiny dose of Kanna to support emotional openness and deepen the reflective process.
